Yes, I'm a newbie, and just doing first steps on learning curve. I didn't even made my maiden fly yet ... I'm wondering if is it possible to fly Inspire 1 Pro without Zenmuse X5 gimbal and camera attached?
Good news for a newbie trying to master piloting skills first without a risk of damaging expensive camera hardware during - say - less than perfect landing etc. What fly mode/procedure would you suggest, having no video input on monitor? Will Inspire still be able to perform all GPS-controlled features of automated take-off, landing etc.?
Can you be a bit more specific? What mode of controller will be applied during camera-less fly? Will it drift with the wind like in Atti mode or maintain it's hovering position with sticks centered? Apparently I can't simulate flying without camera physically attached to a machine ...
Yes it applies to the Pro as well. You should be able to use the simulator without the gimbal/camera attached. You can also adjust the wind in the simulator so you can get a feel of what stick movement you will need to hold position in case you fly in ATTI mode or do not have good GPS signal and it automatically goes into ATTI mode.
In GPS mode while flying it will maintain it's position with the sticks centered.
Yes you can, and if you have the X5 and a newbie, I would definitely fly without the camera until you are 100% confident with your flying skills on the Inspire.
