What are the advantages of shooting wvideo in 1080p  or  2.7K

Hi ,
The 1080P video resolution is 1920*1080 . The 2.7k video resolution is 2716*1524 .   The resolution makes the picture clearer and the frame makes the picture more fluent .

Does anyone know when 2.7k for iOS with the phantom 3 pro be available?

It's not available at the moment . But the 2.7K for P3P in IOS is coming soon .

You can shoot in 4K at the moment. Getting "well over" the 1920x1080 resolution allows you to "zoom" and "crop" the resulting picture. With a little experimentation, you can probably create a very similar result to shooting directly in 2.7k.

Although shooting in 4K allows you to zoom in and crop.  If you're not taking advantage of this, you might want to try 1080p @ 60fps.  It really smooths any movement.  Especially if you're moving fast.
