Shaky foreground

When I'm filming a static object about 4 feet away, it's shaky (jello) while the background remains rock steady.
Anyone know why?

I think it's because the Osmo doesn't correct for forward and backwards movement which you notice on close up objects only.

It's not called JELL-O.  What you think you're referring to is called jello. As our friend says - a yank actually correcting spelling?

Notwithstanding the above, what the OP is talking about isn't jello.  It's hand movement in directions the gimbal can't compensate for.

Find your computer manual and look in the index for Caps Lock.

Thanks. Now I know it's not anything I'm doing wrong I can work around the problem. Guess it's tripod time for that sort of shot.
