It really depends on the lighting and the intent of the shot. Generally we keep the aperture high, around 11, to make sure there is a lot of depth of field. On some shots, like the snowflake shot or during a situation where we want to focus in on a specific feature, we will open up the aperture pretty wide, like to a 4. In really bright sunlight we'll use an ND6 or ND9 filter to avoid closing the lens all the way down. I would say that for the most cinematic look it would be nice to have your shutter speed between 1/50 and 1/120 and have your aperture between 5.6 and 8. |
