Mine was before I learned about the switch mode to abort RTH trick on the P1Standing on my favourite spot, a 976 meters tall mountain peak flying FPV using googles

Having a blast I somehow managed to fly into some clouds creeping up on me from behind.

The pretty little bird tried to make it home but it missed by a meter or so.
The Thrill of standing here really paled compared to the feeling of climbing down to retrieve it!

How about you folks?
Any bed time stories about RTH's?

I had a RTH engage on me once, when the battery reached a warning stage, I was trying yo bring it back, but then it went into Critical and tried to land.
Ah man, but thankfully, I was able to commandeer it to a safe place to touch down and land my craft, safely.
It would have been a tough climb, up into the old growth evergreen trees. Taller than telephone poles, and tight growth.
I would have been a bloody sponge, when done retrieving my drone.
What a relief, that it was actually only the battery setting, which was set too high, as the battery still had plenty of juice left.
I pay closer attention to the flight battery inflight now. ;-)

Speaking about pics, is there any hope getting back the movie+picture every 5 sec we had in the P1&2 Hero days?
I really missed that mode

I think it's quite scary when you turn off the RC with the aircraft keeping on ! The RTH triggered and it fied to where it took off .  By the way , I think I'll take a trip to Norway someday after seeing your picture !

Nice...I live in the USA around the North Georgia Mountains.  Not quite as dramatic as your scenery, but still plenty of terrain to deal with.  Here's a short video of a 360 view of my area of the world.  No close calls (yet).....
