I'd like to start a sticky post with the best settings that we have all discovered for our relevant cameras and shooting styles.

Canon 6D
Notes: the advice to install the lens support Y-shaped bracket does not work for the Canon 6D as it's lense appears to be mounted lower on the body than the 5D, which is what most videos show being mounted. I found the bracket was about half a screw whole off from where it needs to be to support the 6D's 24-105mm lens.
