I was just curios what the resolution is that gets recorded directly to the phone or tablet while flying. The quality that gets recorded to my S5 is not near as good as what is actually on the SD card in the bird.

That appears to be the norm.

True, the video recorded to you device is a lower resolution. The down link is 720 which is probably already lower resolution than your recording onto the SD card. I think the recorded resolution may even be less than that. If it were a high resolution, you memory would fill up pretty quickly on your device.

Think of it as "thumbnail" quality.
