Hi all
Why are everyone selling their inspire 1s for 2s as the inspire 1 takes all the upgrades that the inspire 1- V2 has ?
Along with the pro camera, etc,.
This just seems to be a very expensive way of upgrading for very little gain.

Is this the way it's going to be from now on its a great money spinner for DJI, but what about the rest of us ?

Before long they will bring out a new model that takes both camera and infrared camera at the same time with new fittings.

Where then will it lead too in 2016 another fire sale,

Then soon I think they will bring out a larger more powerful inspire for the next generation models.

On a positive note it does keep everyone  talking about the future, but don't forget about today. And enjoy your birds flying!!!!!

I agree, you can make the V1 into a V2.
But I did recently buy a used V2 but only because a was a great deal. If not, I would have bought a V1 and upgraded it if I ever planned on using an X5 down the road.

It is exactly as you said. It is just a newer revised version. There is nothing wrong with the V1 and will probably suffice for most people.

Only reason I sold my V1 was because I do plan on going to the X5R.

X5R The inspire 1 with the new vibration absorbing board fitted, and leg extenders works better for both cameras, and is a much safer support for all cameras, X5R included.

5 km range with the V2

Dont get me wrong I LOVE LONG RANGE its a deal breaker for me if I cant get that... but do you guys think we will see much more than 5km range in future models?

No, the FCC regulates the allowed power output of the radio.

I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer here, but isn't it against FAA rules to fly a UAV out of sight (at least in the US)?I guess for me, I'd rather keep the bird in sight in case of a crash so that I can find it.  Just curious.

5 km range with the V2

I,have with my V1 more than 5km range, but I did it one time, for test (Itelite antenna).
