Points are generated by responding to posts.  I know that much.  Are there any other ways that earn points?

I don't care about the credits.
I just hope we can help each other enough to keep this hobby/interest afloat and prevent media knee jerk reactions that will shut this industry down.

(woohoo - just got +1 Money for this post)

Very nice Tim,

This is a great way to get more people to participate on the forum!

When you cash in your points how does this affect your overall forum status? Is the total points remain on your screen name?

This is a great way to get more people to participate on the forum!

Would be good to get an answer from a moderator on this.

I new this was coming, but it must be said that this is a great idea for DJI to implement.

Good idea! More postings will be made now that there is a bigger incentive aside from helping others with similar interests.

Good idea but thread opening should bring much more points because normally a new topic is MUCH more useful then post something like I agree to a existing topic.

I think that a post which gets lots of reply should generate more points for the Op as the post grows. At the end of each month, the post that's been most popular should get a Bonus Points haul. If these ideas could be incorperated into this forum, someone might indeed be able to buy a pair of props.

Sorry to disagree, but I think it is a misguided idea. Firstly , it is such an insignificant amount as to be pointless, and b) why would it induce anyone to help anyone else when they otherwise would not have done?

I have always tried to help others whenever I saw a problem that I had encountered and solved. This was my incentive, and what forums were all about. I used to be fairly active on the phantom 2 forum , introducing hopefully a bit of light humour with others via poetry corner answers, until for some reason the moderator took a dislike to the social intercourse with others, so I rarely visit these days.

However, I will help wherever possible here and hopefully be given help, without any other motivation than wanting to help others.  .  Sorry to buck the trend but  this is my personal opinion of course, and judging by the replies here on this thread I suspect I am in the minority. (no change there!)
Cheers!
Rod and the cat.

Ok , question. How much is 5,000 points worth in cash dollars and is this in USD? Also, for what I am understanding is that you cash out and can purchase products from DJIs web site?
Inspiring minds want to know....

I think it's a great idea. Heck, most forums don't give you a penny. So fellows and ladies don't get greedy here!

you can't change 5000. Maximum what you can change is 5400 because it's multiple of 180.
5400 points equals 40 bucks

So… basically I can apply the $40 toward a purchase, such as accessories? Or a big purchase. Like a discount more or less. I see! I like it!
