hi all - i send this out into the ether hopefully to receive some sort of feedback either from DJI or a user in the know.

the question is when will we see an update to the SDK for the Inspire 1 Pro X5 which will allow third party developers such as AutoPilot, DroneDeploy, AirNest, Pix4D, MapBox to connect to the X5 gimbal/camera.

i recently noticed an SDK update announced for 2016 but have been unable to find specific camera/gimbal related updated X3 -> X5 information.

Good question, still wait on an answer in another thread...

I have had two vendors say X5 updated SDK is out. One hopes to update their app this weekend, the other says a month or more for their update.

Waiting for the update so I can use autopilot with my x5...

I don't thin it will be autopilot first more likely an android app, there a little more lax when it comes to there approval procedures

its got nothing to do with it being android - we're waiting for DJI to add support for the X5 - it currently works with inspire 1 and other phantom models

They added support about a week ago, that's what we're talking about.
