Has anyone had a chance to try one or knows a good review of a legit aftermarket battery? Banggod carries one just shy of $100, was wondering if its worth the risk for a mere $50 cheaper price.

I sure wouldn't risk it, but haven't looked at it at all.  If I fly with an aftermarket battery, I'll have no warranty.  This isn't simply a battery, a source of voltage and current to run one of the smartest systems around.  It is a smart battery that keeps track of several internal things and conveys information to the system processor.  The firmware in the battery also controls charging.  Do you really want to risk a $1300 bird for a 50 buck "cheapie"?

I wouldn't use ANY other battery. You trying to save $80 will potentially cost you $1,300. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I agree, $50 is not worth the risk of crashing a $1000 piece of equipment, DJI battery it is

Just find a good deal on the DJI battery.   I have seen them as low at 120.
