Can you really see the difference between a video shot in 1080 and one in 4K?

im not sure i guess i never seen a 4k video

If you have a full 4k monitor you can really see the difference but most monitors are 1080 so a 4k image or video converts to just bigger  , the real benefit of filming in 4k is if you want to zoom in the extra 4k resolution allows you to zoom into 1080 with no hit on 1080 detail , if you try the same zoom starting with a 1080 film you will greatly reduce the detail .

As I already said in your other thread . Yes, if your screen resolution is 4k...

Personally I love filming in 1080p at 60FPS. Most people only have 1080p monitors, and I love the smoothness of 60 FPS

Agreed ! I had a hard time really telling the diff between 1080 and 720 . My eyes are getting old though ... lol
