Hi guys

As a new Phantom 3 standard owner, I have only only had three short flights as it's currnetly very windy here in the uk. I have been using my iphone 5s with the controller. But as the screen is so small, I want to invest in an ipad mini. Does anyone have advice on which one works best, or are they all ok?

Someone suggested the iPad 2 mini which I bought for £200 from eBay refurbished. Works a treat.

Just don't get the original iPad mini. Every iPad mini newer than that will be fine as long as you have the settings adjusted correctly

I also use the iPad mini 2 without issue (P3P)

I just got a dji3 standard, and was using iphone 6s plus, but just purchased a ipad mini 4 -- but it's too big for the clip that the standard comes with -- any ideas on how to either replace clip (holder) or something else to hold the ipad mini4?

I got an iPad mini 2 and it seems to work great with the P3P

Just make certain it has an A7 processor or it will not be compatable

DJI Pilot App and GO App only recognizes the A7 (and above) processor.
Unfortunately the specs in the manual (or online) does not state this.
Many people here have went and spent hundreds on a mini only to find it useless.

Wow that's great to know! I was almost one of those poor few about to buy a Gen 1 iPad mini.

To do the Follow Me mode you'll need to have the mini + cellular.
