I think it is still being refined.
I see prisons now are no-fly zones and a shopping mall that is a no-fly some but that's the only shopping mall that's a no-fly zone withing several cities.

I wouldn't get hopes up too soon this seems to be an intermediate step; in France all the yellow zones (including airports, although yellow flags still there) and some restricted areas have become green? Too good to be true...

Looking better. Hopefully it keeps moving in the right direction.

Definitely a good improvement.  Any ideas on the definition of Warning Zone and Enhanced Warning Zone ?

The enhanced warning zone is the area around an airport. So  the airport has a 5 NM radius for traffic looks like that is actually 1-2 miles and then the enhanced portion is the other 3-4 miles.

So you get a warning it would seem that your in an airport area or its part of an airport area but  you don't have to unlock that. But going into that actual final 1-2 mile area at the airport you have to unlock as that is a warning area.

I sure hope this is close to a final draft, for what I've reviewed, this is now something I could easily live with.

Why has the red NFZ gone from airports on this map, don't get me wrong I prefer it that way,
What map can we expect to be the one we have to live with ??

My guess would be that there are UAS operators at some airports that use them for maintenance of checking planes, training etc. By removing that aspect they allow them to operate without having to do something special or different for those specific folks.

Also this really now puts the burden back on you I would think. Fly in that area, you know about and don't take appropiate action it could come back on you as you were warned and didn't get permission from a tower or something like that.

Just a guess on my part but makes sense.

yea i think the maps are still along way off, they now have the only airport in the town as an enhanced warning with authorization unlock and a WWII airstrip thats been closed for 30 years plus as a no fly.  Gotta love the chinese

I will have to admit that it looks much much better.  I had a huge yellow southwest of me.  No longer there with this new updated map.  Looking good.

I'm still confused about "enhanced".  The area around my local airport is green with a yellow center.  It is also shown as ENHANCED WARNING.  What exactly does ENHANCED mean in this case?  Obviously, the yellow is a self-authorization area, and it includes the airport grounds.  The WARNING (green) area, is just that, a warning.  But in this case, it is ENHANCED.  How does that vary from a plain WARNING area?

This is beta... HK has no NFZ ? Philippines ?  I think this is 20% done

If only this were accurate.  If you use the B4UFLY app from the FAA, anything in the enhanced warning areas need to get permission from an official authority before flying.  This includes all the Heli-pads at hospitals, etc.  You really can't fly anywhere in the immediate Chicago area because of this.  Note this is the beta Android version of B4UFLY.  The DJI app lets you fly without having to unlock in almost all the enhanced areas.  Who do you think is going to have the final say.  I'm voting for the FAA, not DJI.  Just my take on this current version from DJI.

I explained in post #9 about the enhanced warning around an airport and how this appears to be used.. The normal warning appears to be like farms and such.

The red no-fly zones around airports are yellow authorization zones in the Bata app.  So in the Beta app, DJI gives you the freedom to fly pretty much wherever you want.

It seems most of you are a little more accepting to the GEO Fence now that it's authorization zones are more defined. It's a work in progress so it may get better and better in the final version.

As the zones are shaping up now they appear to be reasonable and expected so they are easier to accept. In the previous map version, the zones bordered on ridiculous and crippling to the hobby.

We will probably never know if the new map is a function of correcting software errors or the immediate negative reaction from customers to overreach by DJI.

There is an enhanced warning area here for no reason for about 100 miles. Why  May be there is a secret military base I do not know about at the top of the mountain.

That enhanced area is just the center national forest, no secret military base.

That is a National Forest, not a National Park. I believe National Forests have a different protocol for drones rather than an outright ban like National Parks. So, I think enhanced is correct for a National Forest. I hope DJI understands that with the final map.
