Would there be one day, may be in the very near future, Osmo will be replaced by Osmo Pro, with bigger capacity battery,
X5 camera, And advanced functions. Just like Inspire 1 replaced by Inspire Pro!
So don't invest your money  just waiting for the adaptor.
(Just guess and private opinion, don't take it seriously)

Everything is possible! I believe that as the world-class leading company, DJI will always bring us amazing surprise! Let's just see and always expect the best from DJI. Thanks!

I think it will have to be so.
I can't see how the focus remote will work with the OSMO & that is part of the X5 eco-system.

I think this will happen, it makes perfect sense. Seems the X5 adaptor doesn't work for some reason. Hopefully an Osmo Pro handle for the X5 will be released later this year.

Hope Osmo Pro has a focus wheel, and a programmable function button for things like AF ON and AE LOCK. Maybe it also needs some sort of clip to lock the X5 gimbal for transportation, or maybe a new X5 Osmo version will be released with lockable motors like the X3.

Whatever you do, wait till christmas I cannot stress this any better haha

The more pro you get, the heavier the equipment. Imagine a pro version with bigger battery, microphone, X5, and other accessories. Very heavy, will need two handles. Then it won't be an Osmo no more.

Seems they listened judging by the iOS App change-log "leak" which mentioned the "OSMO Pro" moniker and was quickly removed.

So now question is, what exactly is the OSMO Pro

The osmo pro is the original osmo that works like it was described 6 months ago.

It's strange that no one from DJI will answer my question, "what is the osmo pro in the screen grab?"

Doesn't make sense. Why call it "pro" then. Surely it's a prosumer model such as the Inpire Pro/RAW is aimed at, and that would be true to their naming convention as well.

Yes but technically the inspire was modified for the x5, landing gear risers, vibration board and the more powerful motors so why is it hard to believe there will be a modified osmo to go with the x5r launch?

just look at the video with x5 on the osmo. it's just a big rectangle adapter that mounts to the osmo then the x5 to that.
seriously doubt there will be anything different with handle itself.

I hope for an new Osmo Pro for the X5R.
Hopefully we get some sort of product announcement soon.

Inspire X5R is shipping next week with the standalone X5Rs the week after. No idea about the X5 OSMO adapter though!
