Incredible footage, among some of most cinematic camera movements I've seen, definitely apparent that lots of thought went into every shot. Amazing work Patrick!

Well done Patrick. Very disciplined and well timed movements. The thing I noticed immediately was the ambient audio, very effective to reinforce the viewer to feel as he were right there. Did the subjects have portable recorders on them?

I believe that was foley work, added in afterwards via sound effects library and editing.

Great video, very cinematic. If I was to be really picky the sound at the beginning of the video didn't seem to match, like it was recorded at a different time.

How about telling use your camera settings, post work tools, etc.

Great stuff. Silences the critics big time! I would hazard a guess that most of the shots are actually with the X5, with high DR and which are close ups certainly being X5 (bike sequence at the start, overhead over conifers till at least 0:30; over the ski area around 1:00 - in fact that looks like a 45mm shot - nice tele effect!; also the horseback sequence and that gorgeous purple miss end shot). I think that a few of the canoe shots with a wider angle are X3's.  That people can't tell the GP P2 footage clearly is testimony to the value of choosing the right tool for the shot.

The dark scene with the pickup was it taken with the X5?
I "stepped" over the X5 and now 5 weeks away from the X5-R and cant wait. Use the S900 with GH4 but its so much better to get down and intimate with the surroundings using the Inspire.

I have watched this a few times since it was posted, and would say this is more about the cinematographer than anything...
The way the camera movements have been planned and then executed are second to none......you obviously work in film, and if not, you should be.
