Wonder how they're planning on shooting them down?

I don't have a problem with the FAA not wanting to have drones flying near the stadium, but within almost a 40 mile ratios is a little ridiculous to say the least. That's a long way from the stadium. In my opinion thats a far stretch.

Shepherd, FAA is doing the right thing. There will be lots of low flying aircraft around the stadium (National Anthem flyover, Blimp, News helicopters). No point in taking any chances especially with the number of drunk idiots that will be out.

Gotta be a real numbskull to even think about trying.

Seems to be a reasonable decision

The FAA is running an ad about not flying there which means they are very serious about it. Personally I feel that it a good idea. I would never attempt it. I get nervous when people stop to watch me fly out in the boonies.
