2015 MacBook Air.  So far it has more than done the job editing pictures, green screen work and movies.  I get anywhere from 6 to 14 hours on a charge depending on what I am doing.

It also fits in my backpack where the P3P lives with the tablet and rest of the gear.

And setup. I have a friend with the same moniters as me who jsut upgraded, so havea third one on the way:

And a couple old ones (from oldest to newest):

Mozart Tx case, tall thin square case, honey pot as holding the graphics card up as the heatsink was so heavy. Think this was an early Dual core socket 775, probably 4GB RAM and an GTX290?
Computer-3 by Riley Baker, on Flickr

Most ridiculous case I ever owned, weighed about 30kg, and good for nothing hydraulics. Think I had upgraded MB/CPU to an 1156 socket Quad core, with the same Graphics card as before:

Same CPU and Motherboard, with new RAM and Graphics card (GTX570/580?) in an "Testbench case":

You should add there a small aquarium bypass with gappies and gold fish
to me water and electr ...

I've had 4-5 different water cooling loops over 10+ years and never had a leak. If you buy quality parts shouldn't have an issues. I've never tried them but you can also get non-conductive liquids (pure water is non conductive from memory)

Many large server farms use water cooling without any issues

No way!!! LOL.  Good for you.  Computers don't get obsolete, they do exactly the same job they did when you bought em.  When I saw your post I was tempted to lie and say I was using a 286 with my Orchid VGA card.
But I am using an old, ( not old as yours though );
2.6ghz Core 2 Quad with 4 gigs of ram,  a pair of 256 gig ssd drives,  a 1 terabyte hard drive and an Nvidia GTX 230 video card with 1.5 gigs of ram on it.  I enjoy making older hardware do stuff it's not supposed to do.

Commodore 64 with 5-1/4 floppy drive

Don't make fun of Commodore 64's.

I cut my teeth on C-64's, Texas Instruments - TI-99/4A (I even had a modem and a tape recorder on it) and Radio Shack TRS-80 (better known as trash 80's)

Those were the days....

I remember when TI came out with a speech synthesizer. Something like $400 for the "cutting edge" computer voice.

I also remember days of trying to hack into almost anything (Wargames was out at that point)

Shall we play a game?.......
How about Thermo Nuclear War?.....

Compuserve was in its heyday and the Web was just a glimmer in Tim Berners-Lee's eye.

No way!!! LOL.  Good for you.  Computers don't get obsolete, they do exactly the same job they did ...

Doesn't Turbo mode slow down the computer, so old games that speed was based off clock speed wouldn't run at 2-3x the speed they were designed for?

Also computers do become obsolete as standards change, sure they don't get any slower, but the software becomes much harder to run as it get's designed for ever faster computers.

New hardware also won't work as new hardware standards are created (USB/PCI-e) and as drivers stop being made for old platforms. Old software stops being supported, many web pages would not load on old computers as they use new web standards, and supported browsers wouldn't run on old OS's etc.
