P3S Micro USB port
Uploading and Loding Picture ...(0/1)

I have a P3 Standard, and I was wondering what the Micro USB port on the front of the phantom is for.
I tried connecting it to my computer and all did for me was disable my USB ports on the computer...lol
I lost my mouse, keyboard and charger for my phone. Had to reset the ports in device manager in Windows 10.

Is there something special with this port?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Mike

It's the port you use to access the flight records stored in the P3Standard.  The .dat files.  It should not have that effect on your computer.  Perhaps you have a bad cable?

Or....maybe my stupid a$$ didn't do it right. LOL
Which is probably the case.
I first searched for what it was and how to do this, but couldn't find anything.
Guess you just have to use the right key words. I did find what I was looking for.
I will try this again, using the correct method and see if that works better.

Windows 10 has the nice way of protecting you in case you want to be stupid. Obviously Windows 10 thought I was
stupid and shut down my ports on me...LOL
I am so glad my son is a nerd. He knew what the problem was right away.

Kneepuck, thanks for the reply.
That Avatar you have kinda reminds my of an aunt I have....yikes!

Thanks,
Mike

That's not my child.  It's me,  as a mere youth.    But now I am wondering if I may be related to mcphipps.  If I resemble his aunt.......

Thanks, I did find a post somewhere else on the sight that gave me directions how to do that.
I was able to download the flight data and save it to the hard drive. Next is to find out how to interpret all the gobblty goop and find out what it really says....lol

Nothing that will be of any use to you unless investigating a crash.
You're much better off sticking to the flight records stored in the app.
Replay flights from there a lot easier or upload to HealthyDrones.com for just about all you'll ever need.

G-force data is only stored in the .dat files so if you wanna look at those scroll to the bottom part of the tread
