I intend to take my Osmo with me to a 5 days hikking/camping.
I have a solar panel that provide a usb entry for charging stuff.

Is there any way that I could use it to charge my OSMO batteries throught usb instead the default wall charger?

I dont work for DJI but i can tell that there is no way to charge the osmo with a usb port you could use a small 12 volt battery with a small power inverter.

You would need a 150 watt inverter.

Maybe if your taking your car, something like this that plugs into the lighter socket- http://www.bestekcorp.com/produc ... power-inverter.html  depends were you live,you will have to get one that suits your osmo charger plug

The micro USB line is to connect the OSMO camera to the computer. just another method of downloading video,better to lock all motors/axis first first then turn on the OSMO, just makes it easier when the cable is pluged in

Please only use the original DJI Osmo battery charger in case of any damage to the battery. The Osmo battery is specially designed for the Osmo and not compatible with any other third party battery or charger.
Of course, It'll be good to hear that you can work on your own project successfully, just keep safe!

For users, the micro USB on the camera is for downloading the original pictures or videos from the SD card for further editing in normal situation.

Hi Adela, the original charger and battery are still used in this situation, it is just a different power supply for the charger, eg from 12volt power supply inverted to 100-240volt,(like from a cars 12volt supply) I use a inverter in my car when out and about for a long time with the osmo to charge the batteries

that has 16V DC output.   (There is a good one before, I can't find that post, you can search online for an alternative)
