I have no sound coming through on my phantom 3 advanced just silent video footage ect.. How do I fix this

uhh, there is no microphone w/ the phantoms... you could do a ground station audio feed, but the drone doesn't record audio.

Even if you did have sound it probably would be prop noise and not very pleasant to listen to.  That's why folks add music to their videos.  

Well that explains it thanks just that I've seen footage from these drones with sound from actual drone blades spinning wind ect.. Thanks anyway.

The videos you've seen with prop noise where probably older phantom that had GoPros on them, rather than the newer Phantoms which have their own cameras. The best way to get audio is with an external recorder/mic as a mic on the drone would be to far away from what you are filming, and have to much wind/prop noise on it

Yes, the latest and greatest, is a silent movie maker. Call it the Charlie Chaplin.  ;-)

Hello Phillip,
Are you've heard already, there is no mic on the P3 or Inspire.
There's a lot of great info in the app including the full manual and tutorial videos that will help you a lot.
When you open the app, in the upper right corner is an icon (graduation hat). In there you will find a lot of your questions may be answered. I suggest spending a few hours in there and you will learn a great deal.
Also in there is a flight simulator.

Well don't be a smart mouthed asshole then it's easy init!

What I do is record ambient sound in the area where I'm flying using my iphone or android phone.  Just start the audio when you take off, either position the recorder downrange or just capture what is going on around you.  Here's a sample where I used my iphone to capture the water sound and just drop it in during the edit.  Most folks don't even think about the lack of prop noise....
