Hi, my new Ronin arrived last week  that I'm trying to use with my Sony FS700.

I also bought the Cinemilled extension arms.

I have tried to balance the Ronin for a few days - I have watched many videos and tutorials and seem to be doing things right, but it fails to stay balanced, especially If I try and balance another part of the Ronin. It's like taking 1 step forward, 2 steps back!

I'm using the Kit lens (18-200mm) but I also have some Canon 28mm & 50mm lenses that I haven't tried yet.

Can anyone offer any tips or advice in using this specific camera. I've seen some great videos online using this combination, so it must be possible unless I have a faulty unit.

Do I need the Extension arms?? Could that be part of the problem??

Thanks in advance for your help.

it's hard if you are not used to balance gimbals, i felt the same as you (ronin-m) if you change one axis, the other 2 always gets affected by little or by a lot, you have to check back all times, once you understand how it behaves then you will get shorter setup times

try smaller lenses too, maybe that will help you. for me the tilt axis is the hardest to get it perfect
