Well I did my first range limit test on my Standard today and very pleased with the results. It is factory stock, few weeks old.
I got it out to 980 meters before It started losing signal (in and out, not total loss), but if I stopped the signal would comback solidl and I took some pictures/video and my phone had a live feed, went to 1000 meters and was fine, it was fairly windy so I intitiated RTH or I might have gotten a little more range. The drone did not lose signal enough to initiate RTH it's self.  Pleased with DJI matching it's range claims.

I am getting 350+m before I get weak video signal on top of the South Downs, at this point I can barely see the quad so  this is plently range for me

Ordered the ARGtek antennas on 3rd February, arrived today from Taiwan, will do another test in the same spot to compare.

I think all the threads about poor range on the standards must be do to either bad antenna position or wiring or interferance with other wifi signals in built up areas.

not really i already try everything with the stock antenna and nothing ,
so what i did is that i get the DBS range extender and now i get 1.8 km of range

Last night, I installed the Range Extender Antenna Kit by ARGtek but yet to do my tests.  What is your range with the DBS mod?

My p3s was delivered on 2/20 and the average range for me is also between 100 to 300 meters.  I did manage to reach over 400 meters but that only happened a couple of times.  I recently picked up a windsurfer on ebay, but distance hasn't changed.  I tried a couple places around town and my antenna position is correct so I'm not sure if I should contact DJI or keep trying different locations around town.

Furthest I have ever been able to take my P3 Advanced is 1.2 miles, don't feel bad.  Pretty sure I'm supposed to get more than double that?

Over flat open countryside I can get to 1000 metres at 50 - 150 metres altitude before the signal finally fails and RTH starts.
The position of the antenna makes all the difference; always keep it square to the direction of where the drone is.  If you don't adjust the antenna or leave it pointing towards the drone, you will get crap signal around 200 metres or less...

I tilted my antenna forward just a bit and was able to reach 1800 ft (548 meters).  This was in my neighborhood from my house at 150ft altitude so I imagine there's plenty of other signals/interferences, as I did receive notices.  I'll have to find an open space so I can really determine a more accurate range for my p3s.
