Question for DJI:
Since the Pilot app (on iOS) is not in the App Store, do we need to check for updates and update it manually or does it update itself automatically like App Store apps?

We have been checking for updates.  I would advise the same right now.  

Correct - AdHoc builds (how the app is currently distributed) do not auto update like App Store Apps.  If and WHEN DJI Releases the App to the App Store then it will auto-update like any other App.  But until then, keep checking manually (which involves re-downloading the App and looking at the version number in the corner when it opens up)

Which, as of this writing is still 0.9. I just redownloaded.

Android app updated yesterday.

Our latest iOS app in the store (unrelated to this) took 18 days to make it through approvals. I assume DJI's app will be delayed a short while longer.
