Any help would be good. Can't seem to find a happy medium with the audio levels inside the osmo app. Everything I try sounds over modulated.

After all, we'll advise to use a wired Mic. for a better using experience!

Personally I'd record on an external device, especially if you're using a radio mic - you've no idea if there's interference or drop out otherwise as there's no way of monitoring the audio. Use an onboard mic for sync, and get a clapper board to help you sync in post - old school but it works. also I think (but am not 100%) but the OSMO records audio in a heavily compressed way

I use Sennheiser wireless and it works perfect every time... For about 8 years now.

I use a Sennheiser G3 and record directly into a recorder. A TentacleSync time-code generator (sync'd with the recorder) is velcro'd to the Osmo to provide an audio time-code to the Osmo. A TentacleSync utility then replaces the audio time-code with the recording from the G3 before importing into the editor. It will also overcome restrictions on the Osmo such as the loss of 2 seconds of audio and video every few minutes as the Osmo closes one file and opens another (you've got the audio, although not the video).

Is this also for the Osmo mobile?

The Sennheiser wireless system outputs via a standard 3.5mm mini-jack, so you can plug it into any input device that will accept a 3.5mm mini-jack mic input to it.  Thing with the Sennheiser is the quality.  I have NEVER had any issues at all in range, or quality.  It is about as pure a transfer medium of voice as there is in my estimation.
