I would think it would work to a certain extent but the angles need to be more defined to concentrate the signals

Ehhhhh, Maybe a little.  I'm not expert but I believe the more wrinkles in the surface the worse it will be at reflecting the signal.

I looked at the link and could not see it,..Edit..Saw it! And it might but likely not optimal.
Why would you not try it and let us know if it works?
How can we give you answers without having one ourselves to test?

What I did to test is take my props off (so no possibility of the P3 taking off) and started the RC, P3, and GO app as if I was going to fly.  Then I sat my P3 on a high spot and drove about 1/2 mile away.  Then I compared my signal with and without reflectors.  Without I was getting blocky video and only 1 or 2 bars.  With my SKYREAT reflector I was getting 4 bars IIRC.  The P3 was sitting about 6 feet off the ground on a fiberglass truck bed cap.

Best guess on yours, more curve because the idea is to gather a wider area of signals and direct them at the antenna.

I don't know if anyone remembers the "cantennas" you could get off ebay to jack your neighbors wi-fi back in the day,  it basically looked like a pringles can with an RF connector to plug it into your network adapter.  Don't know if they are still around but the principal seems to be the same

Honestly, I would recommend you do a Google search for another template pattern.  There are countless webpages and YouTube video that will help you make a reflector that not only looks better but actually works better than that uhhh... "prototype" you made.

Just one example:

I think that you're the only one who is going to be able to tell if it works or not.

It will likely help "some", but...  the shape and spacing from the antenna are critical to get the optimum range out of it.  Smoothness is also important.  As the signal hits each one of those wrinkles, it bounces a different direction than the others.  Think of light.  RF acts very much like light and antennas/reflectors work just like light sources and reflectors.  They need to be focused and smooth.  And... just like light, if it is focused too sharply, the aiming will be extremely critical.

have a look at this simple solution
http://forum.dji.com/thread-42422-1-1.html
gives you min 30% more range, in a good situation, it actually doubled the max range from 500 to 1000 meter
