It will likely help "some", but... the shape and spacing from the antenna are critical to get the optimum range out of it. Smoothness is also important. As the signal hits each one of those wrinkles, it bounces a different direction than the others. Think of light. RF acts very much like light and antennas/reflectors work just like light sources and reflectors. They need to be focused and smooth. And... just like light, if it is focused too sharply, the aiming will be extremely critical. |
