anyone know if you can buy ribbon cables that go inside the remote?  Somebody broke the ribbon cable on the right that goes to the USB board.

If you count the number of wires in the cable and measure the width of the cable with a micrometer,  you can go on ebay and look for a ribbon cable with those specs.  I have replaced many obscure ribbon cables this way.  And,  they are cheap.
