What do you guys think of the new Phantom 4 ?

I'm thinking that now the 4 is out they will never fix my horizon issue on P3... I will always have to deal with the "drunk" view until I sell it and buy P4

I like the Sport Mode on the phantom 4 , but I'll stick with my Phantom 3 Adv for now.  It has a lot of Tech which for some older generation might find a little harder to learn.

Only complaint is the shiny plastic, it will scratch easy and smudge like crazy from hand prints.  Wish it was cheaper because the Canadian $ sucks (1900$CDN before tax).  Was hoping for a black version. I was hoping the phantom 4 would have more motors/blades for safety.  I will keep the new phantom 3 pro that came yesterday and get a phantom 4 when price drops near the phantom  5 release or just buy a phantom 5 when its released.

I'm pretty sure you can fix that with the c-2 button and the go app, I'm not sure exactly how but research it you might find a solution

Hell they cant fix my p3p, thats all I need is more of their technology.

I'm not regretting buying a brand new p3p for $899 last week- I will definitely be sticking with it. I don't really need the new bells and whistles yet. (If anyone is wondering about the price it was $999 + 10% discount coupon).

I like it, natural progression of a product.  Hope the P3 case will work, and wish you could use the P3 batteries....

I will be getting the Phantom 4 in the next several months. The features I will use are the flight following, object avoidance, better images, and  increase battery. I'd like more information about how the fly to feature works.

"A reduced hyperfocal length of one meter allows you to get closer to objects while keeping them in pin-sharp focus."

What this means is, they set the focus too far out in the P3, which should have been set at 1 metre to start with.  It's not new technology, this stuff's been around since the 1800's!  It's still basically the same camera.

$169 shown on DJI's website. The P4 will only go 400 feet up from take off point. So if you want to do some shots on top of some mountains or other scenery and you're down low, just remember you can't go higher than 400 feet from take off.

oh im not interested in the P4 at all,  i would be cautious to update any firmware from now on.  DJI might try to sneak in the 400 ft limit to the P3s

I'd wait in any case.  Unlike some tech, Phantoms seem to be quirky and problematic at times.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new iPhone on launch day (though they don't fly, do they?), but I think I'll let others work out the P4 bugs.  Looks like a lot of fun, however.  Assuming it all works as advertised, I wouldn't mind owning one.
