Can someone from DJI explain the price difference for the US and EU region?

If I switch to US the price is 1399USD, if I switch to any EU country the price is 1599 EUR. If I take into consideration the current exchange rate USD/EUR the 1399USD = 1290EUR.

So please justify the price difference of 300 euros.

This is a common misconception about price difference either side of the Atlantic. Remember that $1399 in the US doesn't include State taxes, which vary from State to State. So think if it as a less VAT price

In the U.S. You only have to pay tax if the company has an office in the state you live in if its bought online. When I do my income tax the irs ask if I bought anything online. I don't think anyone has ever answered yes, lol. It's not all peaches and cream though living in New York I usually pay about 45 % of my income in taxes.

yes, I can get the vat back, but it seems I cant get it via dji website. if I count the current exch. rate and add vat, its still 50+ euros more expensive. anyway.. while the p4 is a great product, I will not buy it.. will win it the same way as I did it my p3p :d

We pay different shipping fees, taxes and VAT to ship to different countries, thus the product price varies.

Same same in Australia
Except DJI says "free" shipping for orders to Australia over $430AUD.
Yesss the numbers don't quite work do they?
1399 USD
@ current exchange rate (1 USD = 1.3874 AUD)
1,940.97 AUD
add GST @10%
2135.07 AUD
Soooo 263.93AUD for shipping? oh no that's right shipping is "free"
*sigh* marketing eh?
This means I won't be an early adopter

Most states have sales tax.  Only a few don't. What you may be thinking of is the loophole in the law that allows most online sales companies to not collect the legal sales tax for a purchase if shipping to a state that they don't have physical business assets in. Technically by law the consumer still owes the sales tax and is supposed to send it to the state themselves but no one does of course.  Lately states have started cracking down on the major retailers which is why companies like Amazon now charge sales tax for most states (the upshot of which is they no longer go out of their way to avoid having physical assets in those states so they now have far more warehouses to get you things quicker). Also, these drones also sell at retail locations or from online stores affiliated with retail chains (such as Apple) which also charge sales tax, except in the small number of states with no such taxes.

And how do you do that since DJI does not sell to companies?

Well I make sure I buy from resellers in the UK which are VAT registered.
