I'm not even sure that's a fair statement. The only current lapse I can see that DJI has not entirely delivered is the iOS app (for those who missed the boat installing it when it was available earlier).
As far as I am concerned, I got what I purchased - the quad, the battery, the charger, the radio, etc. It flies as it was expected to, and DJI does not owe me anything else beyond what I paid for as an early adopter of a new product, as would be the case in ANY new product released by ANY company. I expected batteries to be out of stock, and have already placed orders for additional batteries (two of which have been shipped already and are passing through HK to my address; another two were ordered today).
I am, however, thankful for:
1. DJI owning up to potential prop issues and sending out prop guards to registered owners by way of their distribution partners/channels (if you've bought one from a grey market dealer, you might be out of luck)
2. 24/7 support for the Inspire - I've used it a number of times, and have been satisfied with the response time and the answers provided.
Overall, the Inspire is a better product compared to my Phantom 2. It's faster, more agile, more stable, shoots better quality photos (compared to my GoPro), and the video quality is good enough for me. I do not, however, see DJI owing me anything - anything else I get, I am grateful for. |
