Small flying insects

I was in a wooded area and noticed that something was attacking my Phantom. It was a swarm of bees. It was most unfortunate for them as the props made short work of them. I wondered if the sound attracted them to attack as the props give off a sound similar to a swarm of bees.

Has anyone had any small winged insects fly into or around their quad?

I guess spring is in the air so attacks may happen more often. Funny we both got attacked today. Bug guts everywhere. I had to clean off my quad.

Be the agressor... Ha

When they sting anything, they give off a pheromone which creates other offensive drones.
What a sticky situation, so in the end, you lose either way.

I had some gnats attack mine but they're so small I didn't see anything on the camera, I was close enough to see them. I would move away and they would follow. Ended up with a bunch of little black dots on the P3A!

Aloha North,

You may want to cover that area with 3M Magic tape or alternative.  It is lite and provides extra protection for collisions as you describe.

Aloha and Drone On!

Yes, marvelous houses they build, little hives of utmost joy.
Too bad innocent people die every year, from their industrious behaviour.
