Having some problems with the gimbal....it's way off (by 100 degrees) on the zero point. When flying the actions are not smooth...but spastic...jerking up or down without any input fom me. Hopefully, I just missed an adjustment somewhere. The Inspire, itself is great. BTW...my text on my firmware said "cancel"...but I heard that was OK.

You have the option to calibrate the gimbal.  I would do that.  Let us know how that works.

Does it not calibrate every time you start the machine ?

I tried that....it just defaults to the 120 degree starting point. Is there a way to manually adjust it?

I am coming to the sad realization that I may have a defective gimbal. Not only does the gimbal default in the wrong direction...when I move the Inspire about...the gimbal doesn't keep up and the movements are jerky and tend to overshoot the direction. Mind you I am not moving the craft violently...but in smooth direction changes. I may be the first customer with a bad gimbal.

I am sorry to hear that.  If you are in the US the LA center has received replacement parts.  Can you post a video of what is occurring with your camera?

Actually, I called DJI and got someone ready to help me in just a few minutes. We tried a few things but...no joy. He did say there has been a handful of reports with the same problem. They said they had a similar problems with some of the Ronan gimbals. They are looking into a firmware fix...failing that...a hardware replacement.

Here is a short video of my Gimbal problem. I have reported this to DJI and they seem to be mulling it over. As you can see...it does not properly center...and when moving the adjustments are jerky.

Mine is doing exactly the same. Spoke to DJI and they are replacing the unit asap according there email. Very helpful but I think it may be hardware issue

I had the same. If I started it up indoors the camera would slowly raise up and then roll over. Took it outside and it would fine. Took it back indoors and it did it again. Very weird though

Sadly...mine is no better outdoors.

I'm not having as much luck with them. The tech I have seems to be pushing a firmware problem and seems to be stalling. I'm going to get more demanding on Monday.

Here's another video...at the 1;20 mark...you'll see the gimbal spasm. Otherwise it was a smooth flight...it seems to work best in "Free" mode.
