Hi Just purchesed a new NVIDIA K1 shield tablet. It has a GPS functionality but do I need to download an App for it to work with my Phantom 3 Standard. If so what App is best? Appreciate any help with this. Michael

You do not need any app to use the GPS on the K1.
You will need the DJI GO app to fly

Don't upgrade to marshmallow as your compass with most likely not work.

He was referring to the Shield compass but by all accounts, the latest update from Nvidia corrects that problem.
