Does anyone what the laws are for using drones in Dubai, UAE?

I've read that customs has confiscated them on arrival and given them back when leaving the country but I've also seen numerous videos on YouTube of people using them.

I remember the user named Madebyvadim was sharing his videos from Dubai here on a forum

Probably that guy who was able to use drone in dubai is a resident visa holder and obtained a drone registration certificate from General Civil Aviation Authority

Hi, You can fly your Drone in Dubai, UAE. but you have to download the UAE Dron Fly Zone App to help you with areas where you can fly. or go to gcaa.gov.ae for more infos

They sell all kind of drones in the duty free. So I see no issues. I even hand carried my parrot disco Drone with a huge backpack. Its all good
