i have been looking at these two mods, one from drone world for 499,with install one from fpvlr for 299 plus 99 to install, i can install one if i wanted, but i really prefer not too, anyone have experence with either one of these or is there a better extender out there ? i do not give a crap about going 4 miles away, i want the signal strength to help in my area where there are a lot of trees.

Fpvlr in use here. 5*s from me. Will Def help with up close interference. Been out 3.5 miles. Landed at 12% with total mileage tgere and back at 7. Heart was pumping koolaid. Lol.

thank you for your help, i am thinking  fpvlr is the best route for me to eliminate  close interference.

the dbs mod  what was the cost  on it?

I personally use the DBSmods kit on my Phantom 3 with excellent results. Can't speak for the other options.

I've got the DBS mod for my inspire pro, where I normally fly from ( I live in the woods) I get around 3000 ft with the mod and around 1800 to 2200 ft stock. Now with the DBS mod out in the wide open the battery is the limit. Last week I went out 14500 ft and had full bars.

This area is pretty much as open as it gets around here. I have definitely noticed an increase in range almost everywhere I go. The only place I have not been able to get much of an increase no matter what I try is when I go fly downtown. I would expect that though, as there are tons of tall buildings and satellites on top of all of the buildings, etc.

Do these aerial mods help or make any difference regarding line of sight. I mean can you fly long (or short ) distance without line of sight and still keep connection? Probably the one thing I hate the most is having to always fly line of sight!

what is the correct antenna cable number that replaces the factory antenna on the inside of the controller ?

yes open area battery is the limit with DBS MOD I had my standard out 2,5 miles full signale bars on controller and Wi-Fi 4 times so far with my standard  so, so, happy with it
