I just ordered a Osmo and one thing that came to mind, when your not using the osmo if you set it down will it affect the gimble or you need to buy a tripod so that way you can rest it?
i know the Dji Ronin you cant sit it down unless you have the Stand because it will mess up the calibration, does the osmo work the same way?

Mine sleeps on the pillow next to me.

It doesn't matter if you place the Osmo still for a while, but you may find that the gimbal may drift a little bit which is normal. Slide the Power Switch, it can enter sleep mode.

Adela any chance DJI can speed up the distribution of the osmo base stand to its distributers PRETTY PLEASE

I leave mine on the kitchen counter. No problems at all.

The Osmo base stand is an excellent bit of kit for the money.  It's very well made.
