I barely hear anything on the forum regarding the X5R. Has anyone bought and recieved one yet? I'm really curious about this camera but DJI is out to lunch again.

haven't seen anyone with x5r yet...  the thing is pricy

Rest assured that when they finally ship, the internet will be awash with purchasers waxing lyrical about just how awesome it is.
For a couple of weeks that is until some issue arises that needs a firmware fix.

Unless you had a pressing commercial purpose RIGHT NOW for it, you'd be crazy to purchase something this expensive and specialised before the first few 'updates'.

couldn't agree more and with DJIs track record, doubley so!  

They should work just as hard to fix what they already sell as they do bringing out new kit that will no doubt suffer the same firmware frenzy post launch

Don't buy it! Wait until Frank Wang fixes the total lack of customer service!!!!!

No purpose for it right now just "hoping" it's all that it say it is on paper. DJI is completely a**backwards on how they promote their products. They do these huge product launches for Phantoms but barely anything for their prosumer/pro lines. It's live on their website for sale and says shipping in 3-4 days. Someone is buying them I assume. Why hasn't DJI had ANY announcements that they're now available?

DJI take some notes from RED Digital Cinema. Their CEO regularly gets on the boards and chats with customers from the bottom to the top. They LISTEN to customer input and apply it to their R&D for new and past products. Customer Service is one of the main reasons why I will never purchase another brand of Digital Cinema Film Camera other than RED.

If DJI fixed their customer service, they could be unstoppable.

I would wait cuz dji is now known to release buggy hardware so lets kick back and watch the sh%# show unfold.

Who's got an extra 6 grand laying around? I don't

With DJI's track record thus far and their total inexperience with camera platforms I expect the X5R to be no better than average. (Maybe not that good)
Had they have partnered with a company that actually know what they are doing when it comes to imaging devices people would be knocking their doors down to get at one.
As it stands, everybody is cautiously guarding their 'Click add to basket' finger - and with good reason.

Frank is Mr. DJI, also know as Frank Wang Tao. He is the founder and the one responsible for the horrible customer service!!!!
