DJI, as an owner of the Inspire 1, Ronin M and Osmo, I find this just milking the consumer and I dont like it:

Yes, and at AUD$189 about twice as expensive as a 600w pure sine wave inverter.
Way too pricey for what it is.

It get's hot...but no, not anymore than usual.  There is a fan running on the power supply.  It's a great system and the dual 300w plugs are perfect for charging.
