Yesterday I was filming along a small mountainside about 20 feet above tree level and even though I set the max altitude to 200M the damn app wouldn't let me fly higher than 120m above takeoff point.  This is all line of sight with a clear view so NO safety issues here.

I thought I should be able to, at least, hit 200m.  Also, I thought there was going to be away around this when flying along hills.

Anyway, I set the max altitude and when I go back into the go app it is back at 120m not 200, never mind the 500m limit I keep hearing about.

Any ideas?

Hi, I'd suggest you to set the altitude here with your drone and rc powered on. Don't forget to press "Done" on the keyboard.

The limit is stored in the Phantom - not the app.
You have to have the app connected to the Phantom for it to take.

Correct, you have to have the aircraft powered up to see your altitude setting.
Also, you will not see some of the menus or your settings unless you have the aircraft powered up as well.

Aircraft was powered up.  In fact, it was 120m in the air.

Pretty sure I had hit done, but I will check on my next flight.

Won't be able to physically test the restriction though till I am in the hills again, but I'll see if it holds in the app/P3A at least.
