Got another question. Is there an easy way to extract the GPS data as a GPX or other useful format to use in mapping programs? I did a search and found a short thread from mid last year about using a web site but I'm wondering if there is a way to do it local.

Each photo has the location stored in the Exif data.
If you want the flight path, go to: http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/
Follow the instructions to upload your flight record and it will give you an option to export  as a KML (google earth) file that is easily converted to a gpx file.

I'm just not crazy about having to upload my data to the web first. I'd rather be able to get the info here on my local machine. It's the tin foil hat in me I guess.

Take a picture above the place you wish to get the coordinates for and extract them from the exif data...
