Anyways, glad to hear the boys are getting their updates completed. ;-)

Ok did you load the New Go app for the android?  It is anew version 2.7.2

Also when you had that battery warning , are you sure the aircraft battery was not loose .  Maybe there is a ruptured cell in the RC.  I am sorry for the million questions , I just never heard of this one before and must cover all my basses

One time i went through 3 pages of typing only to finally get it out of the guy that he crashed badly  and  that kind of changes things.  

Lets charge the battery overnight,  Make sure you have the correct go app installed and get back at it tomorrow.

SD card formatted and then updated the Aircraft twice to current version.  All good now.

One down , one to go.  This one has a beeping RC that starts 30 seconds after turns it on.  I said to charge it up over night,  He may have a bad Cell in the battery of the RC.  Just find it odd it happens right after an update.  

Amy ideas ?  I am off for this shift

Ok , let me know what happens when you turn on everything again,  You may have a re - link issue.  Let me know if you get any battery warnings again.  I will be checking in throughout the day  to help Pilots, I have 10 e mails to answer as well.
Also I wasthinking last night you may have a case of needing to re link the aircraft.  The part that has me vexed is why the Go app will not open when connected to the RC ???

Make sure you have a good cable between the two.  Now just to be clear, you can open the go app when it is just on the  device ( android ),not hookled up to the RC .  You  should be able to open it.  Make sure of this.  simply open go app and  tap on the Grey camera oval.  I am just making sure the go app is not corrupted or something strange.

Hi RedHotPoker, sorry to change tact on this thread but you obv know your way around DJI drones!!  I am looking for a new lens for my P3P.  Seen vid on you tube showing how to change/upgrade lens but can't find where to buy one? any ideas?  The lens in my current camera has developed a crack which is showing as a blemish on any vid/pics.  I am in the UK.

Would appreciate any pointers?  Thanks

Ok , I think we need to try and re link the Aircraft .  First thing to do is find the re-link button on the aircraft so you know where it is.  Look in the vents of the aircraft  and you will see a small button. Just  make sure you can find it .  Go to the Transmitter and Hook it up to the Device and open the go app, open the RC Icon of General settings and scroll to the Re- Link button.  It will instruct on how to do so.  

The  instructions are in the manual as well. ( Link at bottom )   

At this point in time with my head clear and caught up with my other pilots challenges , I have reviewed  all  our correspondences  and you must just need a re- link .  I rarely see this happen so I did not see this right away.  But if you have updated both the Aircraft and the RC and you have a beeping transmitter with a solid Red light , the flow chart in my mind says to re link . ( Also the chart in the manual ....)
Basing this on what you said the other day :

"I just turned on the controller red light no sound for 30 seconds then red light starts blinking and the beeping starts"

light just keeps flashing on aircraft
the beep changes speed but never connects to aircraft

Good find, for your replacement. Have you made contact with them already to inquire about UK shipping? Hopefully they will get back to you soon.It seems like you are feeling defeated before the actual event. Please contact them again, and inquire before you throw down the white flag. ;-)

Do you remeber if that Battery warning was for the Aircraft or did it say the RC Transmitter battery ?  
The link will only work if the Aircraft is at version 1.8 and the RC is at 1.6.    I would reset the RC to 1.3 then update  to 1.6.

Then  re -link the aircraft.  ( May or may not have to be done, you must test first )

  

Start with RC Transmitter OFF

Press C1 C2 on back of Transmitter as well as the Record "Red"Button top left of Transmitter  and the ISO "Wheel " (Push the wheel down, you will feel a detent )  With these four pressed down  turn the Transmitter ON wait a few seconds and let go .  This wll reset to RC  Version  1.3 .

You can then update to version 1.6 via go app or USB Thumb drive.



I Think you have a damaged RC Transmitter and It must be sent in.  

Good Luck- keep me posted, some of the fixes are beyond programming and must go in for repair.  Please let me know.  I really did my best to help

Madaerial , thank you very much, If there is  a way to fix  them without going In to DJI  , I can usually figure it out.  Sometimes it is just" Persistence" over "Resistance "

I guess the update caused the controller to go bad or freek out the battery.

tryed what you gave me instructions for, still does the same thing. through out this the aircraft was not on.

Sorry battery error was on the controller thru the go app.
I had a chance to fly on the AP today looking for a lost hiker.

I finally got the c1 c2 thing to do something
no beeping a jade color light and the 4 power lights stay on.
It has been sitting here like this for 5 hours now. I am afraid to turn it off and restart it.

I guess there is no more help for my problem
