Great write up on settings!

Who did  you get the P4s from and what is the hassle factor on exchanging them?

Very good summation of setting the aircraft up. Very few people seem to grasp the idea that smooth operation is the key to good pictures.

My first P4 had the screech/squeak issue. 2nd one from Apple not nearly as bad. Seems to be an electronic sound. Not mechanical.

I implemented all of these changes. I'm looking forward to giving it a try now. FYI - I took a screenshot of each page before I made any changes so I can return to my original settings. Thanks for these tips!

TK-421 - thanks for these really helpful tips - purely as a matter of interest could you explain in more detail exactly what the "Yaw Endpoint" and "Enable Synchronised Gimbal Pan Follow" actually do

How did it go, Bob...what do you think of the settings, did it help smooth things out?

Much nicer! It seemed a little mushy at first, but I'm getting used to it. It looks a lot nice in playback. Thanks for sharing these tips.

I had been wondering how to find that setting for a very long time (in phantom 4 time) - thank you for documenting it and taking the time to explain it.

I just came back from the park and tried these settings.  They are a significant improvement over the defaults.  Incidentally, is there a way to reset all these settings to their defaults easily?  I wrote everything down before making changes, but I always like to know how to reset the defaults if there is such a way other than manually setting them one by one.  I really liked the improvements to the gimbal tilt up and down...much nicer.  The one setting I really couldn't tell made any noticeable difference to me was "Enable Synchronized Gimbal Pan Follow".  I really didn't see much difference with that one.  Thanks again for your efforts.

Now if we could just put the different setting on a switch or button you could have dual rates and the best of both worlds.

Thanks for the info TK-421

Thanks for posting these settings they were exactly what I've been looking for and I've been using them since you first posted them. In fact when I had to return my first P4 and exchange it the first thing I did when I unpacked the replacement was make these changes, they should be the default IMO.

With regards to the Yaw endpoint setting, I see this setting as a double bonus as not only does the P4 now rotate more slowly, I have also have a more fine grained control as the same inputs are spread over a smaller range of figures.

Anyway, thanks again TK-421, I look forward to more of your posts.

Great write up and very helpful information. I noticed that there are many more settings that you didn't cover in the settings. Are there any of these we should be tweaking?
