I am getting my Inspire 1 today and we have snow on the ground. Has anyone had any problems taking off or landing on snow?

Snow on the ground may blind the monocular system, so you'd better to put some distinctive features on it.

Dude, I don't mean to insult your intelligence because hey, it's your money.  I don't even have an Inspire (I'm JUST one of the low rent Phantom people) but even I took the time to download and read the manual.

Use a pad or solid board on top of the snow.

No. I have done it many times. However, the ground was broken up, it wasn't a fresh blanket of snow.
