OSMO does not work when tripod mounted

I have now used Osmo for several commercial shoots, really impressed with it (using external Mic and lots of spare batteries!).

It's allowed me to shoot in locations where I just could not use a tripod.

I want to mount it on a light weight tripod or light stand so I can shoot from a high up position (2/3m) and control via tablet or mobile.

Been testing today and osmo appears to stop functioning if mounted rigidly. For example I start it up, connect to wifi and open app on phone all works fine.

Aas soon as the osmo is mounted rigidly the app screen greys out (although I can see camera move if I tilt tripod), if I remove from tripod, and use handheld again the screen returns to colour and works fine. I also reproduced this holding osmo steady on a table top.

Is this a bug or feature as it looks like osmo has to have some movement occurring in order for it to function.

I've used mine on a tripod with not problems at all. It really shouldn't make any difference, but there's obviously something else happening here...

Just tried again and worked fine!
only thing that changed was that I rebooted the phone - Samsung Galaxy 6
Will retest tomorrow

The tripod would not affect the functionalities of the Osmo normally.
We you're going to remote control the Osmo through the mobile device, please make sure the WiFi connection is OK. The Osmo WiFi works well within a range of 25 meters.

It's great always to know that you figured out the troubles by yourself. Thanks for the feedback!

Retested and it worked fine on 3m tripod with Osmo controlled remotely.

I think it may have been local wifi interfering with osmo wifi.
