does anyone knows what are the changes with regard to the "Home setting" function on the 2.7.2 DJI go app?
first I am confused because previoulsy it was very conveniently located on the main screen and now i cannot find it

Main Controller Settings (MC Settings)

They may not show untill things are powered up....

You can choose to make home position the current position of either the aircraft OR the Remote Control. If no GPS signal (i.e. indoors) then it will 'fail' to set home position.

Thanks Aardvark. To expand the information in your post.
Since the P3 RC does not have GPS to establish its location, your mobile device must provide the location to the GO App to be able to set the RC location as your new home point...

FYI: resetting the Home point after takeoff does not reset (zero out) the altitude established at the original takeoff point. You are resetting the home point mid air after all.

...so if you are flying either with an iPad that does not have mobile connectivity or you have data services and GPS turned off on your phone/mobile device -- then would it not be possible to set Home as the RC?

I dont have an Ipad with build in GPS but it still shows that icon, strange.

This was always there, I used it when P4 was just released. What is the update about, then. Also this setting works only with cellular devices which have GPS. Wont work with iPad Wifi

The Lat and Long are established by a Cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
