What do you call that annoying light/bright spot that water droplets on wet grass creates when flying your Phantom and the sun is at your back? Does it have a name? Or is it simply called "that annoying light spot that gets in your videos"?  If you are flying low, it will actually halo the shadow of your aircraft. Anybody know what I mean? Anybody got an actual term for it? Thanks!

Good question! Was wondering about that, too. Close to the ground you see that the shadow is in the center of the halo, at high altitudes you only see the light spot. (I think the shadow is too diffuse to see then.)
It is a halo, so I think it could be called a "halo".

Technically the hot spot you see on the ground from wet or dusty surfaces is called Heiligenschein, and when its produced in mist or clouds by water droplets its Glory.

I had often wondered about this optical effect; nice to hear names for it.  
It looks like Heiligenschein is more likely to be the correct term.

Glory, like Broken Spectre, is the reflection on cloud water droplets below the observer.  All the examples show this and the Wiki definition of the Glory actually states there must be cloud below the observer.

Heiligenschein is simply centred reflections on dust, grass or anything that slightly reflects light, that increase in occurrence when the sun is directly behind you.  
Either way, nice to name it finally...

Actually, after a bit more reading, it's the 'Opposition Surge' we're seeing, these are the collective  reflections of the grass or rough surface, not cloud droplets at the anti-solar point.

Well, this is not a simple phenomenon to name; Heiligenschein, glory, Broken Spectre, Opposition Surge, hot spot, Seeliger effect. Did I miss any? Thanks much for all the great answers gentlemen! Seems that some are more correct than others, but I will not state which, until I read more. At least I have some names and terms to study now.
