And the end result will mean all the sensible drone pilots having to jump through hoops to stay legit, and all the idiots will just carry on being idiots.
Perhaps they should enforce the laws already on the books first before passing more legislation.
It's clear this man gave little care about gun laws as he recklessly discharged his firearm around people. They should hold him accountable for his action instead of passing more gun control laws. The same with the nut jobs flying drones around airports, it's already illegal, punish them instead of passing more drone laws.

How did he "recklessly discharge his weapon around people". There were people flying in the air around the drone? Anybody down here could shoot the eye out of a predator coyote @ 100 yards. Not to worry.
My father is 98. He claims he could shoot a squirrel between the eyes at 100 yards. I suspect that from 100 yards he couldn't tell the difference between a critter and my Phantom!
You got me laughing this morning! My 87 year old neighbor swears he has shot a Cottonmouth snake every day for the 5 years I have known him. I have never seen one. Told him I saw a Bald Eagle fly by the other day, and he offered me his "eagle gun".
