I, like almost everyone, am plagued with screen glare when I fly my P2V+ (& previously the P2V).
Being a builder first, and a pilot second, I set out to fashion a sun shade or hood since what I found on the internet was not to my liking.
I wanted something that woud fit around the phone sort of like the iClipse hood fits an iPad, but I wanted the iPhone to be firmly gripped by the transmitter's holder.
After a prototype or two out of stiff cardcoard, I fashioned one out of plastic sheet.
The snaps are from a sewing supply website, and the plastic sheet is from a portfolio found at Office Depot...

I'm not into manufacturing RC equipment.
My occupation is manufacturing, and I get enough of that on a daily basis.
The concept is easy.
Make yourself one out of cardboard, and experiment like I did...

It looks nicer than mine.
It's also interesting that they came to the same conclusion that I did and cut an opening to allow the holder to clamp onto the iPhone.
The extra room (side to side) will let you get to the top iPhone button to turn it off.
It's a little difficult with my design...

Seeing how similar our thought processes worked, it's a wonder anything gets patented anymore...

Found thus one! http://www.amazon.com/Cellphone-Monitor-Sunshade-Transmitters-Suitable/dp/B00LXD33EI ...

I bought this one and used it until I made the switch to a iPad Mini. It works. The suction cups that are designed to hold the device in place are a joke. At least with my iPhone that has an Otterbox Defender Case on it. The only holding the iPhone and the Shade in place is the clamp on the controller. It gets a little cumbersome and the design is not great, in my opinion. But it does the job.

I am looking for something similar for the iPad Mini. I found one, but it is held on by velcro and sticky tape. I'm not happy with it at all, but it works for now.
