i was considering purchasing the following mic for the Osmo. It uses the power from the battery. The Osmo battery is supposed to last 10 min. Has anyone used this model of the Rode mic and does it use much battery power?

A warning, RODE mics are sensitive for WIFI 2.4 Ghz. So your audio will be useless recoded when you use 2.4Ghz between osmo and smartphone. 60 dollars of software and 60 dollars on a mic, sitting in a box. They didn't care about it, and they sure as H3ll do not warn users about it until it becomes a problem.

I use this mic with great results.  I am using an iPhone 4s with my Osmo and have had no problems with interference.  I have not really noticed any difference in the battery charge life but I generally get about an hour per charge with the mic ( I have not tested with the latest firmware that is supposed to extend the usage).

You said the the osmo battery is supposed to last 10 minutes? That seems a bit off.

Battery usage time solved. I removed gimbal from handle and reinstalled. With a fully charged battery I reset camera and gimbal. Now I'm getting 60 + min

I was going to say, that is not right. I don't own an osmo. I just knew the battery life was around 60.

With the latest Osmo firmware v1.6.2.10 and the latest DJI GO App, a fully charged battery can last around 90 minutes.
Now, the external battery extender is out which will help to prolong the battery life, please refer to this thread for more details: http://forum.dji.com/thread-49176-1-1.html

The real duration of a fully charged battery depends on your operation. The Max. tested duration is 90 minutes.

I use the same Rode Mic Go and it is really worth the money. This Rode mic is passive (if I can say it that way), so you should not worry about battery drain while it is connected. The sound is really crystal and I am happy with it! Best regards, Todor

really, and my phone does not support 5G. Or if your filming in a location where strong 2.4Wifi is active you are S.O.L.
