My P4 has been coming under attack from bumble bees over the last few days.  At altitude between 50-200 feet I can see the chubby little buggers flying around my drone. at one point had 6 flying around it around 100 feet.    not going to effect the drone just splattered bees all over my drone.    anyone else having beens or other insects getting slaughtered by your drone?   Im in New Jersey for geo refrence.

I had that problem with those little gnats, must have gotten a 100 of them. When I was hovering in my yard, I saw them just go right for my P3A and no matter which way I moved, they followed it. Ended up with little black specs all over it.

Yep.    Have encountered a few swarms while flying.   One was particularly heavy.    Glad they can't (or don't) follow it back.

Hey guys.
I've had similar problem once and the best thing to do is to land immediately and go to another site or try again later.

As responsible Drone pilots, and as much annoying bees may be, please try to minimise damage to them, as their long term  survival is vital to us all..

Had them harass my drone at 3 different places.   Only notice them when I'm stationary or acending.   Also landings make them want to play.

Maybe it's just the really horny ones coming to try to mate with my drone.  In which case they are gettin praying mantis style!

I try to avoid them, but in case I can not, I keep a heavy coat of wax on my Phantom to make clean up easier.

Oh yeah. For some odd reason they really like the drone. Unfortunately it likes eating them. It's crazy. Turkey buzzards like flying around it to. Not close enough to be a issue, but close.

It's the frequency of the motors.  They interpret it as other bees.

I've observed  exactly the same, they are highly attracted for the P4 and not only the bees, the mosquitoes as well, I've read on this forum some people that is due of  the sonar of the collision avoidance... I have seen to fly bats and swallows very close to the P4 , maybe confused for that reason...on the other side the eagles fly  in circles far away from him... but every time that I can detect something annoying for the animals, I try to land.
I don't know how to link photos here from an iPad to show you, but unfortunately, a few days ago I felt the fury of the bees attacking me on my shoulder meanwhile I was Flying the P4.

I've been surprised to see how many bugs in Connecticut have red blood.  There were times when a quick flight in my back yard amounted to a scene from a slasher film on the top of my drone.
